I've Got the MacBook Sadz.

I got stuck on this dreadful screen this weekend and could not repair it myself, despite some serious googling. Stopped by the Genius Bar today to get the bad news: hard drive corrupted. Nothing can be recovered. Lost everything.

Good news is I should be up and running in a few days. And replacing a hard drive isn't all that expensive. So, here's to the bright side of things. :)

  1. Oh my. Oooooohhhhhh my. Was it backed up? (I hate to ask that because I almost lost everything recently and almost had a heart attack and my answer to that questions would have been no!). I'm sick for you! I'm so sorry!

    1. A lot of it is backed up. But I'm sure I'll realize all the things I didn't back up in the next few weeks. Fingers crossed it wasn't anything too essential!

  3. So sad. :(

I love my little MacBook, and hope its hard drive stays happy for many years to come. Good luck with your repairs! I hope you discover that all the essentials were backed up! :)

  4. Yep, been there last fall!! My Mac was 8 years old (it was a hearty little thing!) but one day...I got the white screen and a clicking noise! I had most things backed up but lost some. The great thing about products from TPT is you can go back and download again for life! That was helpful:) Thinking of you...

  7. Same thing happened to me- horrible!!! After getting a new hard drive installed, I immediately bought an external hard drive AND I also back up to Carbonite now- not taking any chances!! Just found your blog, I'm your newest follower!
